OUR STORY
On 17 July 2005, our own hero, SPC. Ronnie Williams, was taken from us while on his second deployment in Baghdad, Iraq. For the last 16 years the two of us, along with our children, have kept his memory alive. That was a promise we both made to him. SPC. Williams loved his family and brothers-in-arms and would go out of his way to help anyone in need. We participated in local parades and events but felt that alone was not enough.
The two us felt that we needed to carry on his "mission" given the fact that he was no longer able. We knew that our Veterans, service members and the families left behind needed us and we needed to do more. We just had to overcome the fear and have the courage and strength to move forward and we found that. We had this "crazy idea" to honor as many heroes as we possibly could for Memorial Day in 2021. We had memorial banners sponsored and made for any fallen hero we received a request for (from family & friends), beginning with our locals. That project in itself took off and with the community support here we are today.
