OUR MISSION
Recently founded in August 2021, by Theresa Heeger & Darlene Williams, Angels From The Battlefield (AFTB) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization with a mission to honor and preserve the legacy of SPC. Ronnie D. Williams and our nations heroes, as well as, serve current veterans, service members and their families.
AFTB was built on never letting our nations fallen heroes be forgotten but quickly turned into much more seeing the needs within our Veterans, service members and their families. We assist them with emergency housing (if applicable), emergency financial assistance (up to twice a year if funding is available), "hometown hero" care packages to service members that are deployed/stationed away from home and outreach resources. Our goal is to reduce homelessness, hunger and suicide within our military.
Our secondary mission is to work with schools to teach students the importance of our military and remembering our fallen heroes and the sacrifices they made to this country. AFTB provides scholarships every year to seniors at Simon Kenton High School. SKHS was the high school of SPC. Williams where he graduated in 1998.
We strive to “HONOR, SERVE & REMEMBER,” our nations heroes, therefore, 100% of every dollar donated to AFTB goes toward our mission of honoring and serving our veterans, service members and their families. We have NO PAID STAFF, we are all 100% VOLUNTEERS!! AFTB runs as such so that we can assist and serve as many veteran, service members and their families as possible.
